Product Introduction
A fire water divider, also known as a breeching or wye fitting, is a critical hose line accessory used to split a single water supply into two or more separate discharge lines.
Its primary function is to increase operational flexibility at a fire scene. For example, one main hose line from a hydrant or pumper can be connected to the inlet of the divider, while two attack lines are connected to the outlets, allowing multiple firefighters to combat different areas of a fire simultaneously.
These devices are typically made of lightweight but durable metals like aluminum or brass. They often feature individual ball valves on each outlet, enabling firefighters to control the flow to each line independently or shut down a line without turning off the main water supply. This makes the breeching an indispensable tool for efficient water distribution.
